Nutrition/Diet Education
Coordinated Kidney Care Group is proactive in offering customized Diet and Nutritional Care.  Research supports the important role that Diet and Nutrition Therapy play in the overall care of a patient with Chronic Kidney Disease.  Starting in Stage 3 Kidney Disease (eGFR 30-59) all the way through Stage 5 Kidney Disease as long as you do not require dialysis.

Our practice has developed and produced a four-part program.  This comprehensive program covers the following topics:
Session 1:  Nutrition and CKD
Session 2:  Sodium, Fluid and CKD
Session 3:  Potassium and CKD
Session 4:  Managing Phosphorus and Bone Disease in CKD

These video sessions paired with an individualized counseling session will allow patients to take an active role in their care along with the practice health care team comprised of a Nephrologist, Nurse Practitioner and Registered Dietitian.  With over 20 years of experience caring for patients with kidney disease, Pam Kapustik, RD, coordinates the Nutrition Education Program.  As a participating provider with most insurances, these services are generally covered for CKD stages 3-5.
